North East planning specialist continues growth in renewable energy with new project
Hedley Planning, a North East-based planning specialist, has secured approval for a new wind turbine scheme in Thorpe-Le-Street, East Riding of Yorkshire. The Hexham firm, which recently expanded with a new Newcastle office, will oversee the installation of a 90-metre 1MW wind turbine to replace an older model on the site owned by Sellmor Farming Ltd.
This project, in line with National Planning Policy Framework guidelines, aims to reduce North Farm’s carbon footprint and enhance energy security with advanced turbine technology. Alex Franklin, senior planner at Hedley Planning, emphasized the importance of well-planned renewable energy projects amid the UK's ongoing energy crisis.
